Perfect skiing experience for the whole family

So convenient for easy walking access to many different eating options (we tried everything!), a large convenient store (nice to CU) was perfect to top-up my family of 6’s needs all hours of the day (breakfast/snack/lunch/dinner). My family stayed in a family suite with 3 bedrooms and we loved the spacious rooms be able to stay in one apartment. Ondol floor room was a bit too hard and too hot to sleep (as we were used to sleeping on a bed) but we ended up using the floor-heating to efficiently drying all our wet gears from the skiing and wet laundry each dayoh the skiing was perfect for my family’s needs. We had lessons and skied/snow boarding for 3 days including night skiing.

ok for a one night stay to enjoy the local ski or outdoor pursuits

great position at bottom of slopes.

futon bed is just a thick quilt and even using both, one on top of the other, was uncomfortable.

Well maintained ski resort that is seriously in need of English-speaking staffs.

Location is good as it’s next to the ski slope. Apartment has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. There are restaurants and cafe within the ski resort too.

- Staffs can’t communicate in English. - Hotel guests are given special discount for ski pass, ski rentals and ski school apparently. However we were told only on our last day there. - there was only one ski bus from Incheon Airport. Our flight didn’t allow us to take that bus. In the end, we spent around KRW 495,000 for one way transfer for 8 pax from Incheon to Alpensia. - we seek help from Alpensia front desk to book the ski bus from Alpensia to Seoul. Took us 2 mornings before they could find someone who could understand what we want. - they have only one English-speaking ski instructor available. limited slots available, and hence we can only send the kids to the ski lessons while the adults chill at the nearby cafe.

Holiday Inn Alpensia

Location is good. It is located next to Alpensia ski. There are lots of restaurants. Luxury queen suites are comfortable for those with family or a groups of friends.

There was no mention to check in at Holiday Inn Welcome centre during check in for its suites. And after check in, there were no instructions or staffs to show the way to the suites.

It has enough rooms for a family of five

One of the rooms cone with floor mattress which I don't remember it is mentioned. So my son has to sleep on the sofa cause none of us is used to sleeping on the floor

Good value, great location.

We loved the location, close to a few different ski areas. The staff were helpful, although English-speaking staff is limited. The rooms were spacious, with plenty of room for our family of six. We appreciated the discounts on skiing activities by staying at the hotel.

The rooms were dated and in need of a deep clean and upgrade. The bathroom towels were "hand towels" by Western standards. The room wasn't cleaned daily, and it seemed like it was cleaned only on checkout.

Self contained appartement. Good beds. Location excellent.

Small towels. No bed lights and bed side tables. No wall outlets near bed. The appartement looked worn out and window slide doors dirty.

Winter ski trip

Amazing location to the skiing, really big room with cooking facilities. Very warm and comfortable. Also lots of food/restaurant options all walking distance to the room. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Only a small thing but would have loved some more hooks to hang up wet ski clothes at the end of the day.

Fabulous

Location and facilities perfect for holidays for families with kids. We loved skiing, sledging and the water park, which though needs some upgrade and cleaning. There are many shops in around resort, too.

It is not an luxury place and the overall place may need more maintenance effort, especially the water park. Foods at the restaurants in the Alpensia resort were too expensive.

Ski resort - Children & Adult

The suites has a warm space to keep the temperature under control. It has a small kitchen that we can do simple cooking. Very spacious bedroom and living room.

Only 2 to 3 floor level. The room does not have any ski facing, mainly facing the opposite building. Would think better view refer to resort and not the suites. The quene for transport could be better improve, Hotel to Airport/Myeongdong too many people quening/waiting in the open (Not considerate especially it was snowing, no shelter).
